THE MERCER – This hotel in Soho, is one of the only ones on the list not within two blocks of Central Park. With its 75 guest rooms and suites this location has high ceilings, huge windows and large bathrooms. Many of its suites are done as New York style lofts, giving them that home away from home feeling. By location it tends to draw more of the artsy types and its 24 hour food service lends itself to the late hours kept by its guests.
